A Blue Collar Guide to Indianapolis

This is our neighborhood. These are the spots we walk to, talk about, and keep coming back to.

This guide brings together neighborhood staples and local highlights. Start your morning at Blue Collar Coffee, then experience Indianapolis through its markets, trails, art, and community just around the corner.

  1. Start your morning at Blue Collar Coffee

Located near the center of downtown, we’re your first stop shop for good coffee and even better vibes no matter what your day has in store.

  1. Our Favorite Farmers Market

Broad Ripple Farmers’ Market: Supporting farmers since 1994, the Broad Ripple Farmers Market is the largest in Indiana and is open year-round, with 80+ local vendors operating outside May to October, and 60+ vendors indoors November to April.

  1. Where to walk it off

The Culture Trail: 8 miles of paved trail running through the core of downtown. Winding and weaving into the most popular and vibrant districts.

  1. Art & Daytime Culture

Murals: Explore vibrant walls along Mass Ave and Fountain Square. Insider tip: follow the cultural trail!

Pacers Bikeshare: Get active and pick up a rental bike from one of 51 stations in Indy, ride around town taking in all the views. Insider tip: Marion County residents can get digital passes for free 30-minute rides.

Factory Arts District: You’ll never run out of things to do at this renovated warehouse that is now home to breweries, fitness studios, local shops and studios, a glass blowing workshop, restaurants, a rock-climbing gym and much more!

  1. Shops around the corner

Good Neighbor: A range of US-made and eco-friendly stylish pieces, these are clothes that have roots and positively impacts the community.

Tomorrow Bookstore: An independent and majority woman-owned local bookstore that, trust us, you’ll want to spend hours in.

Silver in the City: With a focus on local businesses, this shop has eccentric and fun gifts, books and home goods.

  1. Can't miss community events

Talbott Street Art Fair (June): A full day of local artists and vendors showcasing their best work.

First Fridays at Harrison Center: Afternoon start, with artists, vendors, live music and great vibes.

Bottleworks Market: Held 3 times a year in May, July and September, it’s a takeover of the district with music, food and vendors.
